New Slack Community for Elopement Photographers
August 23, 2025

Introducing a new slack community for elopement photographers! A place for photographers from all over the world to ask questions and connect with the community.
Join Elopement Pals: A New Slack Community for Elopement Photographers
About Elopement Pals Slack Group:
In a world of being a self-employed photographer and then adding the niche of elopements, it can get pretty lonely… Elopement Pals was dreamed up on a split second moment by Chaznel Photography while chatting to a fellow elopement photographer. We were talking about the only real communities where there is a safe space for photographers to ask questions and troubleshoot and share wins was by paying to be in a course. The lack of industry connection in the elopement world is huge, but it’s about to change with Elopement Pals.
The dream is to create a space that offers elopement photographers from all over the world a safe haven to ask business questions, share wins (no matter how big or how small), troubleshoot ideas, make recommendations, come together for styled shoots and overall just make friends that we otherwise probably never would make.
A welcoming space for elopement photographers
The Elopement Pals slack group is a space that welcomes any elopement photographers no matter how far into your journey you are. Celebrating each other in business and creating lasting industry friendships! Becoming an Elopement Pal means you’re joining a group of talented creatives from around the world who are rooting for you and your businesses success without having to pay to be a part of it!

More community for elopement photographers
Chaznel says: Through my five and a half years of photography (started officially offering paid shoots in 2020, 3 months before COVID hit New Zealand), I found being self-employed and specifically being a photographer had it’s lonely moments. Facebook photography groups in the early days became my space to find community. Seeing others ask questions or share shoots/awards they’re proud of gave me hope of what my business could one day look like but also equipped me with the right answers or advice on how to handle certain situations when or should they arise. In essence these groups/communities helped shape my business and me as a photographer.
Through the years I invested in courses which also gave the opportunities to be a part of communities of like-minded photographers. These communities were invaluable when it came to gaining knowledge on how to navigate parts of my business. They also created space to talk about the creative side/ideas and have feedback. And with Elopement Pals I would love it to become a space where people can have that same experience of having like-minded elopement photographers supporting them, rooting for them, and encouraging them. Because elopement photography doesn’t have to be a lonely business!

About Chaznel
Chaznel is an elopement photographer based in New Zealand, and she specialises in full-day & multi-day elopements. She’s not only a photographer but also the one who will help you with all the planning, chauffeuring, securing your essential vendors and finding unique and comfortable stays throughout the country (although she is especially fond of the South Island where she lives). She’s been photographing elopements specifically since 2022 and loves how unique each elopement is. She believes that each elopement that she gets to be apart of and help plan and photograph should be as unique as the couple and should never follow and exact cookie-cutter template.
